Be Who God Made You to Be

What God Has Taught Me Through Painting 🎨

This giraffe would never exist in nature.

Too many colors. Flowers on her head. A little heart floating beside her. And apparently, she’s made friends with a butterfly.

But I didn’t paint her to be realistic.

I painted her to be herself.

I think we spend too much of life trying to tone ourselves down. Trying to fit in. Comparing what God put in us to what He put in somebody else.

But God didn’t make us different so we could spend our lives trying to fit in.

He gave each of us our own gifts, personalities, quirks and stories. And when we stop hiding those things and start using them to glorify Him, something beautiful happens.

We begin to live the fullest, most uniquely “us” life He created us to live.
